Purchasing Assistant

Purchasing Assistant responsibilities include evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts, searching for best vendors in terms of cost savings and quality of goods and preparing report.

Responsibilities
  • Research potential vendors
  • Compare and evaluate offers from different suppliers
  • Negotiates contract terms of agreement and pricing
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery
  • Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
  • Prepares reports on purchases, including cost analysis
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
  • Performs duties common to all general staff and any other tasks that may be assigned by the General Manager or President respectively
Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s/College Degree in Business Studies/Administration/ Management, or any 4-year course
  • Must have good knowledge of market research, along with solid analytical skills to make sure identifying the most profitable offers
  • Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer or Purchasing Assistant and /or similar role
  • Good knowledge of vendors sourcing practices and understanding of supply chain procedures
  • Must have good negotiation skills
  • Knowledge in basic computer MS Office
  • Willing to be assigned in Makati or Mandaluyong
